Rotational analysis of bands of an infra-red system of gaseous TiS

Abstract

Red degraded bands observed in absorption and in thermal emission at 1900°C in the region 7500–9300 Å are assigned to a system C3ΔrX3Δr, where the lower state is perhaps the ground state of TiS. Constants derived from the rotational analysis of four bands are: [graphic omitted]
