Tetranortriterpenoids and related substances. Part XII. 6-Hydroxy-carapin and a tetracyclic triterpenoid pentaol from Cedrela glaziovii

Abstract

A new tetranortriterpenoid, C27H32O8, from Cedrela glaziovii is shown to be 6-hydroxycarapin on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence. A tetracyclic triterpenoid pentaol, closely related to ordoratol, 1is also present in the extract and is assigned structure (12).
