Diazepines. Part X. Preparation of some phenyl-substituted 2,3-di-hydro-1H-1,4-diazepines

Abstract

The preparations of 5,7-diphenyl-, 5-p-nitrophenyl-7-phenyl-, 1-methyl-5,7-diphenyl-, 1,5-dimethyl-7-phenyl-, and 1,7-dimethyl-5-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1,4-diazepinium salts are described. The last two compounds were distinguished by means of their spectra. Alternative condensation products were obtained under different conditions.
