Dipyrimidin-2-ylamines

Abstract

Tri- and tetra-hydroxydipyrimidin-2-ylamines have been prepared by the condensation of 2-guanidinopyrimidines with diethyl malonate, and converted into the corresponding chloropyrimidines. The sequential nucleophilic displacement of the chlorine substituents by alkoxy- and amine-residues has been studied.
