Abstract

Three xanthones, 2-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-1,3,5,6-tetrahydroxyxanthone, 2-(3,3-dimethylallyl)-1,3,7-trihydroxyxanthone, and osajaxanthone have been isolated from the heartwood of Calophyllum canum Hook f. Jacareubin, present in small quantity, has been isolated as its dimethyl ether.
