Sulphonohydrazides and related compounds. Part X. The attempted preparation of camphor-10-sulphonohydrazide

Abstract

In a search for new pest control agents, numerous unsuccessful efforts have been made to obtain camphor-10-sulphonohydrazide by condensation of camphor-10-sulphonyl chloride with hydrazine. The only identified product from these experiments was 2,4a,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-9,9-dimethyl-4a,7-methano-3,1,2-benzothiadiazine 3,3-dioxide.
