Electron spin resonance studies of the semiquinone radical anions of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene and its methyl derivatives

Abstract

The e.s.r. spectra of the semiquinone radical anions of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene and its mono-, di- and tri-methyl derivatives have been recorded and the splittings have been assigned and interpreted with the aid of HMO and MSCF theory.
