Cotton effects of some isothiocyanate derivatives of amino-acids and amino-alcohols

Abstract

The isothiocyanato-derivative of several amino-acids and amino-alcohols has been prepared. Their u.v. and optical properties have been investigated. Particularly, the isothiocyanato-derivative of amino-alcohol carbonate esters exhibits three Cotton effects of different intensity around 340, 260, and 205 nm., which can be used for stereochemical assignments.
