Some bis-π-cyclopentadienyl complexes of molybdenum and tungsten with sulphur, nitrogen, and oxygen ligands

Abstract

The preparation and properties of the 2-mercaptoethylamino- and o-aminothiophenolate derivatives, [(π-C5H5)2MNH2(CH2)2S]+X and (π-C5H5)2MNHC6H4S (M = Mo or W) and [(π-C5H5)2WNH2C6H4S]+Cl are reported. Similarly the o-aminophenolate, acetylacetonato- and 9,10-anthraquinone complexes (π-C5H5)2MoNHC6H4O, [(π-C5H5)2MoO2C5H7]+X, and (π-C5H5)2WO2C14H8 are described. The complexes have been characterised by analysis and 1H n.m.r., i.r., and, in some cases, mass spectroscopy.
