The preparation, and i.r. and Raman spectra (2000–200 cm.–1) of salts of the complex anions [MIV(C2O4)3]2–(where M = Si, Ge, Sn and Ti) and of [Sn{CO2)2CH2}3]2– are reported. Assignments of the frequencies have been made.
