The interaction of tin(II) halides with carbonyl-π-cyclopentadienyl complexes of iron and molybdenum

Abstract

Some new trihalogenotin complexes have been synthesised. Experimental evidence is presented which shows that, contrary to a previous report, a synthetic approach to the determination of the mechanism of the reaction between tin(II) halides and halides of transition-metal carbonyl-π-cyclopentadienyl complexes is not profitable.
