An aza-analogue of the cyclopropyl to allyl cation rearrangement

Abstract

The N-chloro-derivative of indano [1,2-b]aziridine undergoes spontaneous dehydrochlorination to give isoquinoline, in an aza-analogue of the cyclopropyl to allyl cation rearrangement.
