The mechanism of catalysed isomerization of tetragonal planar complexes

Abstract

The kinetics, activation parameters, solvent effects, and catalytic activities in the isomerization of cis-[Pt(Bun3P)2Cl2] indicate that the mechanism does not involve cosecutive displacements; pseudorotation of a pentaco-ordinate intermediate should be considered.
