Asymmetric selection during dehydration of achiral alcohols in the presence of (+)-camphorsulphonic acid

Abstract

Individual dehydration of four achiral alcohols, (I), (II), (IV), and (V), in the presence of (+)-camphorsulphonic acid resulted in the formation of optically active olefin in each case.
