Optically active (2 + 2) cycloadducts from R-(–)-1,3-dimethylallene and acrylonitrile

Abstract

The four isomeric ethylidene-cyclobutanes from R-(–)-1,3-dimethylallene and acrylonitrile are all optically active, a result excluding non-dissymmetric reactive intermediates in the cycloadditions.
