Mutual diffusion in octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane mixtures

Abstract

Diffusion coefficients for the systems octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane + benzene and octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane + carbon tetrachloride at 18, 25, 35 and 45° have been measured by the Goüy interferometric method. Viscosities of these systems are also presented. The results are compared with some theoretical predictions.
