Fluoro-olefins. Part VI. A convenient synthesis of trifluoroacryloyl fluoride
Abstract
Pyrolysis of tetrafluorosuccinic anhydride over potassium fluoride at 410° gives trifluoroacryloyl fluoride in 95% yield. Lower yields of the acryloyl fluoride are obtained by the pyrolysis of tetrafluorosuccinc anhydride over an inert surface and by the pyrolysis of disodium tetrafluorosuccinate.
