Electron spin resonance studies of aliphatic nitroxides. Part IV. The observation of conformational effects in medium sized rings

Abstract

The e.s.r. spectra of the nitroxide radicals produced by oxidation of heptamethyleneimine and octamethyleneimine in aqueous solutions exhibit a complex alternating line-width effect. The temperature dependence of the spectra has been investigated and is discussed in terms of theoretical models.
