Heteropolyanions containing two different heteroatoms. Part II. Anions related to 18-tungstodiphosphate

Abstract

The preparation of eleven heteropolytungstate anions, X2ZW17O62H2x(X = P or As; Z = Mn, Co, Ni, or Zn) is described. These include the first heteropolyanions with MnIII as heteroatom. The stabilities of the anions towards acid and base, and the redox potentials and magnetic moments of the Z heteroatoms are reported, and the formulation of the anions and their spectra are discussed.
