The vibrational spectra of sodium acetylacetonate and sodium [2H1]acetylacetonate

Abstract

Vibrational spectra of sodium acetylacetonate and sodium [2H1] acetylacetonate are reported for the solid and solution states. Assignments are made for the acetylacetonate anion and it is concluded that there is a change from a structure with C2v symmetry in the solid state to one of lower symmetry in aqueous solution.
