The C–O binary combination spectra of some pentacarbonyl metal complexes

Abstract

The binary combination frequencies of C–O stretching vibrations have been measured and assigned for some compounds of the type LM(CO)5. A graphical variation method is presented for the Cotton–Kraihanzel treatment of the fundamental frequencies.
