The synthesis of gongrine and some other amidinoureido-acids

Abstract

γ-(Amidinoureido)butyric acid has been synthesised by condensation of N-amidino-N′-nitrourea with γ-aminobutyric acid, and is identical with the natural product gongrine. Seven other amidinoureido-acids have also been synthesised by this method.
