Some basic and acidic derivatives of 2,5-dihydro-1H-1-benzazepine as potential therapeutic agents

Abstract

Degradative and spectroscopic evidence confirmed that the Schmidt reaction for naphthoquinones gave mainly 2,5-dioxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-1-benzazepines. Basic and acidic derivatives containing this ring system were prepared for evaluation as potential therapeutic agents.
