Lichens and Fungi. Part IV. Rearrangements at C-21 in the hopane series

Abstract

Hydrogenolysis of 22-hydroxyhopane and its derivatives is accompanied by epimerisation at C-21 and in addition gives rise to products containing a 17(21) double bond.
