Tembamide from Fagara hyemalis(St. Hill.) Engler

Abstract

The bark of F. hyemalis contains N-(2-hydroxy-2-p-methoxyphenylethyl)benzamide (IIIa) which has been named tembamide. The enantiomers of both tembamide and aegeline have been synthesised.
