The electron spin resonance of some dialkyl nitroxides

Abstract

The dialkyl nitroxides R2NO (R = Me, Et, Prn, and Pri) have been prepared by oxidation with alkaline hydrogen peroxide of the parent dialkylamines in aqueous and alcoholic media. The stability of the radicals is enhanced compared with previous methods of preparation, and highly resolved electron spin resonance spectra are obtained.
