Ionisation and dissociation of some aryl fluoroaliphatic compounds under electron impact
Abstract
The mass spectra of 12 aryl fluoroaliphatic compounds, of the general formula m-R·C6H4·[CF2]n·C6H4·R-m(R = H, CH3, NH2, NO2, I, O·COCl, O·CH3, OH, and O·CO·CH3, for n= 3; R = H, NH2, and NO2 for n= 5), are reported and briefly discussed. With one exception (R = O·CO·CH3, n= 3) all the compounds give rise to abundant R·C6H4·CF2+ ions.
