1H and 19F nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of some cyclopropane derivatives

Abstract

1 H and 19F Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and their associated parameters are reported for the ten geometrically distinct compounds of the type [graphic omitted] with W, X, Y, Z = H or Me. All the geometric isomers are assigned. The modulus of the vicinal H–F coupling constant in the CHF2·CF group is found to be characteristic of the number of methyl groups (0, 1, or 2)cis to the difluoromethyl group.
