Osmium carbonyl halides and their derivatives. Part II

Abstract

The reaction of carbon monoxide with osmium halides has been investigated and, on the basis of infrared evidence, structures have been assigned to Os(CO)4X2 and Os(CO)2X2. The carbonyl halides react with a variety of ligands to give compounds Os(CO)2L2X2. Infrared spectra are reported and discussed.
