The oxidation and hydrolysis of tin(II) and tin(IV) chelates of ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid
Abstract
The 1 : 1 tin(II)–EDTA chelate shows no evidence of hydrolysis but is readily oxidised by traces of air. The resulting tin(IV) complex, however, forms a series of hydrolysis products, of which several were isolated.
