Some nickel(II) complexes containing six molecules of pyridine

Abstract

The compounds Ni(py)6X2(where X = NCO, NCS, or NCSe) have been prepared and compared with the corresponding known tetrakis(pyridine) compounds. It is shown that the two extra molecules of pyridine are not co-ordinated to the metal.
