Surface reactions: the infrared spectra of Br16O3, Br16O218O, Br16O18O2, and Br18O3

Abstract

During a detailed study of the infrared spectra of the oxides of bromine we have observed an unusual surface reaction which may prove useful for the preparation of isotopically substituted anions for the purpose of spectroscopic investigations.
