The preparation and properties of tungsten chloride fluorides

Abstract

Tungsten chloride pentafluoride, tungsten tetrachloride difluoride, and tungsten pentachloride fluoride have been prepared, and evidence for the existence of the dichloride tetrafluoride has been obtained. The n.m.r. and infrared spectra of the chloride pentafluoride have been recorded, and other physical properties of the compounds have been measured.
