Activity coefficients of vinyl acetate in aqueous solution

Abstract

The vapour pressure of vinyl acetate over its aqueous solutions has been measured and the activity coefficients of the vinyl acetate in solution calculated. These observations explain the anomalous results which have been observed in the distribution of vinyl acetate between water and polyvinyl acetate.
