The chemistry of polyazaheterocyclic compounds. Part I. The structure and reactivity of the 1,2,3-triazolo[1,5-a]quinazoline ring system
Abstract
o-Azidobenzoic acid condenses with phenylacetonitrile in methanolic sodium methoxide to give 4,5-dihydro-5-oxo-3-phenyl-1,2,3-triazolo[1,5-a]quinazoline. Acids convert this new heterocyclic system, by breakdown of the triazole ring, into quinazoline derivatives.
