A study of A. Duckei and A. macrocarpon has led to the isolation of kopsanone, kopsanol, epikopsanol, and epikopsanol-10-lactam. Structural determination depends largely on inter-relation of the alkaloids, reduction of kopsanone to kopsane, and on nuclear magnetic resonance studies.
