Chemistry of nitramines. Part I. Some reactions of 3-acetoxymethyl-1,5-dinitro-1,3,5-triazacycloheptane and related compounds

Abstract

Derivatives of 1,5-dinitro-1,3,5-triazacycloheptane have been prepared by treating 3-acetoxymethyl-1,5-dinitro-1,3,5-triazacycloheptane with various nucleophiles, including alcohols, inorganic salts, acetyl chloride, and primary nitramines. Reactions of the products with water, alcohols, acetyl chloride, acetic acid–sodium acetate, acetic anhydride, and nitric and nitrous acids are described.
