Basic 2-piperidones as potential central nervous depressants and anticholinergics
Abstract
3-Dimethylamino-3-phenyl- and 5-dimethylamino-5-phenyl-2-piperidone and their N-methyl derivatives have been synthesised as potential central nervous depressants related to the corresponding potent amino-phenylcyclohexanes. Some diethylaminoalkyl-amides of the intermediate 2-piperidone 3- and 6-esters were prepared as possible anticholinergics.
