A novel rearrangement in the catechin series
Abstract
A minor product from the acetolysis of tetra-O-methyl-(+)-catechin toluene-p-sulphonate has been identified as (2R,3S)-3-acetoxymethyl-2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-4,6-dimethoxycoumaran.
