Preparative routes to t-amine-substituted nitroanilines

Abstract

Various preparative routes to the title compounds (I–IV; R1= tertiary amine) have been investigated, namely nitration in acetic anhydride or in sulphuric acid, and nucleophilic replacement of halogen in the nitro-amines (I and II; R1= Hal).
