Physical properties and chemical constitution. Part LII. Refractivities, densities, and surface tensions of some esters of β-alkoxypropionic acids

Abstract

Pure n-alkyl esters (methyl to heptyl) of a series of β-n-alkoxypropionic acids (methoxy- to heptyloxy-) and of n-butoxyacetic acid have been prepared and their refractive indices at 20° and densities and surface tension over a range of temperatures determined: representative infrared spectra were measured.
