Interaction at a distance in conjugated systems. Part VI. The electric dipole moments of p-substituted stilbenes, tolans, and their heterocyclic analogues

Abstract

Dipole-moment measurements show that there is no large interaction in the ground state between the substituent and the heterocyclic group in 4-p-substituted-styryl- and -phenylethynyl-pyridine and their 1-oxides.
