Nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and structural assignments of the isomeric 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpiperazine dihydrochlorides

Abstract

The nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of the five isomeric 2,3,5,6-tetramethylpiperazine dihydrochlorides have been obtained in aqueous solution and four of the spectra analysed in terms of X3AA′X′3 nuclear magnetic systems. Deductions have been made of the stereochemical assignment of the isomers.
