Infrared spectra of tetrahedral oxyanions of the transition metals

Abstract

Infrared spectra have been measured of a number of tetrahedral tetra-oxy complexes of the transition metals in the solid state and in solution, and assignments of fundamental modes made. Infrared and Raman spectral measurements on solutions of such species at high pH have been studied with a view to detecting the presence of complexes of higher co-ordination numbers.
