The vibrational spectra of SbX63– and TeX62– anions: new observations on the singular properties of some systems related to XeF6

Abstract

New measurements of the vibrational spectra of the isoelectronic anions TeX62– and SbX63–(X = Cl, Br, or I), electronically related to XeF6, reveal some remarkable deviations from the properties established for conventional octahedral systems.
