A monovacant heteropolytungstate-incorporated trimeric carbonyl rhenium cluster, [(AsW11O39){Re(CO)3}33-OH)(μ2-OH)]6−: synthesis, structure and catalytic properties

Abstract

An undecatungstoarsenate-supported carbonyl rhenium derivative, [(AsW11O39){Re(CO)3}33-OH)(μ2-OH)]6− (1a) has been synthesized. Polyoxoanion 1a consists of one monovacant Keggin structure unit and an unusual trimeric carbonyl rhenium cluster. It exhibits prominent catalytic activity and high selectivity in the cycloaddition of epoxides.
