Abstract

Correction for ‘Structure and luminescence properties of green-emitting NaBaScSi2O7:Eu2+ phosphors for near-UV-pumped light emitting diodes’ by Chengying Liu et al., J. Mater. Chem. C, 2013, 1, 7139–7147.


The first sentence of Section 3.1 should be changed as follows (the change is given in bold italics for clarity):

Fig. 1 presents the crystal structure emphasizing the coordination of Sc3+, Ba2+ and Na+ ions. In NaBaScSi2O7, Na+ and Ba2+ cations are located in voids in a Na–Ba–Na–Ba sequence parallel to the c axis, which also consists of the alternating layers of [ScO6] octahedra and [SiO4] tetrahedra.

Reference 13 should be changed as follows:
