Correction for ‘Structure and luminescence properties of green-emitting NaBaScSi2O7:Eu2+ phosphors for near-UV-pumped light emitting diodes’ by Chengying Liu et al., J. Mater. Chem. C, 2013, 1, 7139–7147.
Fig. 1 presents the crystal structure emphasizing the coordination of Sc3+, Ba2+ and Na+ ions. In NaBaScSi2O7, Na+ and Ba2+ cations are located in voids in a Na–Ba–Na–Ba sequence parallel to the c axis, which also consists of the alternating layers of [ScO6] octahedra and [SiO4] tetrahedra.
