Iridium-catalysed direct C–H alkylation of sugar derivatives with alkenes
Abstract
The iridium-catalyzed direct C-H alkylation of glycals with simple terminal alkenes was enabled by an amide directing group and sterically tuned diphosphine ligands. The reaction proceeded with high linear selectivity and broad substrate scope, tolerating styrene derivatives, vinylsilanes, acrylates, and several glycal frameworks including glucal, galactal, and rhamnal.
