Single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with nanosecond time resolution

We present a new data acquisition unit with nanosecond time resolution (nanoDAQ) for single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (spICP-MS), which is able to detect gold nanoparticles below 10 nm with a single quadrupole ICP-MS.

Size determination of nanoparticles by ICP-ToF-MS using isotope dilution in microdroplets

Combination of microdroplet generator and ICP-ToF-MS for nanoparticle sizing via on-line ID (on-line ID-MDG-sp-ICP-ToF-MS). 194Pt/195Pt ratio was used for sizing of the particles, while 182W/183W ratio used simultaneously for mass bias correction.

Quantitative elemental bioimaging: an antibody-based double-labelling method to quantify the cell-specific distribution of silver nanoparticles in lung tissue sections

The LA-ICP-MS image shows an overlay of the m/z 197 signal of colloidal gold labelled macrophages (green) and the m/z 107 signal of silver nanoparticles (red) in lung tissue, with colocations of Au and Ag in yellow colour.

Improved uranium isotopic ratio determinations for the liquid sampling-atmospheric pressure glow discharge orbitrap mass spectrometer by use of moving average processing

Applying moving average processing to isotope ratio determinations collected using an LS-APGD source coupled with an Orbitrap MS increases the precision of the measurements and reduces the number of points needed to collect high precision data.

The sensitive determination of Ag, Pb and Tl as well as reduction of spectral interferences in a hanging drop cathode atmospheric pressure glow discharge excitation microsource equipped with a Dove prism system

A hanging drop cathode APGD-OES system coupled with Dove prism is reported. The reduction of spectral interferences and enhancement of the Ag, Pb and Tl atomic emission lines was the most spectacular and resulted in improved LODs of these elements.

A method for direct (without chromatographic Rb/Sr separation) Sr isotopic analysis using tandem ICP-MS has been optimized for small-size environmental samples and applied to Antarctic PM10 and soil samples from South America and Australia as proof-of-concept.

This study aims to elaborate on a novel comprehensive CE-ICP-MS/MS method for liposome-based cisplatin delivery system characterization. The optimized method allows for direct monitoring of formation products, the drug loading efficiency, and the stability of systems under proteinaceous conditions.
