A fluorescent probe for the specific detection of cysteine in human serum samples

A turn-on fluorescent probe for cysteine with high selectivity was designed and synthetized. The probe can be used for “naked-eye” detection of Cys with an obvious color change from yellow to colorless. The probe could be applied for Cys detection in real human serum.

4′-Aminobenzo-18-crown-6 functionalized magnetic nanoparticles as a solid-phase extraction adsorbent for the determination of Pb2+

A novel magnetic adsorbent for Pb2+ was synthesized based on 4′-aminobenzo-18-crown-6 (AB18C6) and Fe3O4–CHO via the Mannich reaction. It showed excellent adsorption and selectivity for Pb2+, and the established MSPE method had excellent potential, displaying the selective determination of trace Pb2+ from apples, milk and rice.

A NIR ratiometric fluorescent probe for the ‘naked-eye’ detection of endogenous hypochlorous acid in practical samples

We designed a near-infrared ratiometric (2.1 to 15.3, I608/I735) fluorescent probe with a quick response (20 s) based on cyanine polyene derivatives. This probe can detect endogenous hypochlorous acid in HepG-2 cells and determine the hypochlorous acid content in 84 disinfectant and other actual samples.
